The new Icelandic saddle is a very popular Icelandic and trail riding saddle. Two pannier rings, a very comfortable triple-girth saddle tree with soft foam rubber inlay and an anatomically pre-shaped knee roll are ideal for long rides. For the straight and rather short Icelandic horses, the Icelandic saddle was equipped with a shortened, divided French panel with extra contact surface towards the horse’s back. The Sprenger gullet plate, which can be adjusted at any time (chamber widths from 26 to 36 possible) and the synthetic wool filling mean that the saddle can be perfectly adapted not only for Icelandic horses, but also for large horses, for example. The shortened, split French cushion and the wide spinal channel promise optimum pressure distribution. Thanks to the additional felt insert incorporated into the padding wool, the saddle panel, which is available in three versions, fits perfectly to the back line. A normal cushion wedge is ideal for most horse backs, a high cushion wedge is recommended for horses with high, long withers and the G-wedge is used for horses with rather round backs.
