About us

That's us: Outstanding quality, lovingly handcrafted and "Made in Germany".

Our manufactory

The Sattlerei Otto Schumacher has been impressing customers for more than sixty years with traditional craftsmanship in the field of leather processing at the highest level. The focus is on the right connection between horse and rider. This is how the manufactory creates extraordinary treasures for horse and rider.

The family business sets new standards with creativity, exclusivity and the highest standards. The unique combination of different materials, which are lovingly put together by hand to create a perfect product, is of great importance. The processing of the highest quality leathers and the interplay with crystals from Swarovski® stand for sustainable craftsmanship and individual sophistication.

At the Marienheide site, we manufacture unique items with great attention to detail, which of course also meet the special requirements of customers on individual request.

Our inspiration

Making the world a little more chic and unusual is not only the goal, but also the heart of our work. A love of leather, precise workmanship and a special awareness of tradition are the signposts for the continued creative and successful future of craftsmanship.

The fascination of the pieces lies not only in their precise workmanship: the beauty lies in their uniqueness!

Our philosophy

The responsible use of resources and the highest quality standards have top priority in the processing of materials.

Our saddles, bridles and double bridles are made exclusively from high-quality vegetable-tanned cowhide.

100 % handmade

The careful processing of individual parts guarantees a perfect overall appearance. That is why the choice of materials and the loving craftsmanship are the cornerstones of every collection and every individual piece.

Made in Germany: The choice of material is not only fundamental to the look or feel. Selected leathers of the highest quality are used for processing.
Regular quality checks guarantee smooth processing and the value of the end product.
